World Rankings: With World No. 2 Scottie Scheffler in the field this week, he represents the highest ranked player to compete in the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba in the event’s history. Currently five of the top 16 are scheduled to compete. Those players include: #2 Scottie Scheffler, #9 Collin Morikawa, #11 Viktor Hovland, #14 Tony Finau and #16 Billy Horschel.

International Players: Led by defending champion Viktor Hovland, from Norway, there are 43 international players in the field, representing 21 different countries. With his victory in 2020, Hovland became the second international champion of the event, joining Northern Ireland’s Graeme McDowell.

Monday Qualifiers: The final four players to earn a spot in the field via the Monday Qualifier at Iberostar are: Ryan Hall, USA, Brian Davis, England, Sam Stevens, USA, Travis Trace, USA.

Qualifying From Bermuda: Five players, who were not otherwise qualified to compete here, made their way into the field Sunday by finishing among the top ten in Bermuda. Joining the field of 132 players will be: Thomas Detry, Kevin Yu, Ben Griffin, Aaron Baddley, and Harrison Endycott.

Collection of Champions: There are currently 31 players in the field who have won in the past two years on the PGA TOUR and the field—as a whole—has accumulated 168 career victories. Jason Day leads this group with 12 career TOUR victories followed by Justin Rose (10), and Matt Kuchar (9).

Winners Last Season: There are twelve players in the field this week that won during the 2021-2022 season and include: Scottie Scheffler (4), Tony Finau (2), Viktor Hovland, Tom Hoge, Sepp Straka, Ryan Brehm, Chad Ramey, J.J. Spaun, K.H. Lee, Billy Horschel, J.T. Poston, and Chez Reavie.

Major Champions: Eight Major Championship winners will compete this week and include: Scottie Scheffler (Masters); Collin Morikawa (PGA Championship, Open Championship); Jason Day (PGA Championship); Danny Willett (Masters); Justin Rose (U.S. Open); Lucas Glover (U.S. Open); Francesco Molinari (The Open); and Jason Dufner (PGA Championship).

FedExCup: There are eleven players competing this week who finished in the top 30 in last season’s final FedExCup standings. Billy Horschel (2014) and Justin Rose (2018) are past FedExCup Champions participating this week.

Past Champions: Joining Viktor Hovland as past champions this week are Brendon Todd, Matt Kuchar, Patton Kizzire, Charley Hoffman, Harris English and John Huh.
