Q. Before we get into just today, what is it about this championship and this property that is just all Matt Kuchar?

MATT KUCHAR: I don't know about all Matt Kuchar. Certainly proud to have my name up there as one of the past champions. This is a place that I really enjoy, whether it's the vacation side of it, the enjoyment of just being in a beautiful place or the golf course and the test it provides, because it's a stern test, particularly on a day like today with some wind blowing. You just really have to be in control of your ball off the tee. It just seems to be hazards on both sides, both left and right. It never seems like there's really a good place to bail out, just kind of have to step up and hit some good shots. Fortunately, I found myself in some good control and playing some good golf.

Q. And today, short game statistically appears on point. Anytime you happen to find yourself around the green with a missed green, you got it up and down. Was that just the fact that your short game's in great shape or did you miss it to the right spots? Did you bail out, to your point, on the proper side?

MATT KUCHAR: I think some of both. I think the ball in hand makes it a lot easier when you get to place the ball when you're not in the rough. This rough here is particularly challenging. Bermuda rough at any length is tough and this seems to be just long enough to really pose some problems. But fortunately, whether I missed on the correct side or just was able to have some basic up-and-downs, I was able to convert on them. It was a nice day to be bogey free. I think anytime you're able to be bogey free, particularly on a place like this, you've done well.

Q. It's a lovely resort, we have a spectacular day, the forecast has actually gotten incredibly better for the weekend. Will you work on anything? Will you go relax and enjoy yourself a bit and just wait for Saturday?

MATT KUCHAR: No, this will be take advantage of being at a beautiful place, hang on the beach, kind of chill out. Been working on a book I'm hoping to finish this week, so I've got a couple little not-too-exciting activities, but it's a great place to kind of chill and relax a little bit.
